Than Armin used it again in Sweden and Portugal where he was sixth and third overall. Than the car was sold to Turkey, went on to Italy and ended up in the Canary Islands where it was still in use in 2004.
Bernd is since 1989 active in motorsport mainly here on hill climbs where he drives various Ford models like Escorts and a Puma 1600. As a master mechanic he prepares his cars himself and once even a Ford RS200 was seen in his workshop which was later traded against this Escort WRC.
