Nach der Rallye Monte Carlo 2002 fuhr Guy Wilks diesen Puma überwiegend in der englischen Meisterschaft und kam nach einigen Ausfällen nur auf Platz fünf. 2003 fuhr Ryan Champion diesen Puma und zum Jahresende verkaufte ihn Ford, als sie die Rallyeabteilung schließen. 2004 fuhr ihn Ollie McPhillips in Irland. Ryan Champion wechselte für die Saison 2004 zu Mitsubishi und wurde 2006 Vizemeister in Großbritannien. 2018 konnte Ryan seinen Puma wieder erwerben, dieser kam aber als wirklicher Kai Car in vielen Kisten zerlegt bei ihm an. Er restaurierte ihn komplett und erst 2025 war er fertig mit der Farbgebung seines Klassensieges bei der Monte Carlo.
Gestern: Francois Duval/Jean-Marc Fortin, Rallye Monte Carlo 2002
Dieser Ford Puma Super 1600 wurde von Francois Duval und Jean-Marc Fortin bei der Rallye Monte Carlo 2002 das erste Mal gefahren. Er gewann auch gleich seine Klasse und wurde 17. im Gesamt hinter all den WRC mit mehr Leistung und Allradantrieb, schließlich hat der Puma nur einen Saugmotor und Frontantrieb.

After the 2002 Monte Carlo Rally, Guy Wilks drove this Puma mainly in the British Championship and, after several retirements, only managed to finish fifth. In 2003, this Puma was driven by Ryan Champion and at the end of the season, when Ford closed their rally departments, it was sold on. In 2004, Ollie McPhillips drove it in Ireland. Ryan Champion switched to Mitsubishi for the 2004 season and finished runner-up in the British Championship in 2006. In 2018, Ryan was able to reacquire his Puma, but it arrived at his premises in many boxes, completely dismantled as a true Kit Car. He restored it completely and it was not until 2025 that he finished, painting it in the colours of its class victory at Monte Carlo.

This Ford Puma Super 1600 was driven for the first time by Francois Duval and Jean-Marc Fortin at the 2002 Monte Carlo Rally. It immediately won its class and finished 17th overall behind all the WRC cars with more power and four-wheel drive, as the Puma only has a naturally aspirated engine and front-wheel drive.

Après le Rallye de Monte-Carlo 2002, Guy Wilks a principalement piloté cette Puma dans le championnat britannique et, après plusieurs abandons, n’a réussi à terminer qu’à la cinquième place. En 2003, cette Puma a été pilotée par Ryan Champion et, à la fin de la saison, lorsque Ford a fermé ses départements rallye, elle a été vendue. En 2004, Ollie McPhillips l’a pilotée en Irlande. Ryan Champion est passé chez Mitsubishi pour la saison 2004 et a terminé deuxième du championnat britannique en 2006. En 2018, Ryan a pu racheter sa Puma, mais elle est arrivée chez lui en plusieurs cartons, complètement démontée, comme une véritable voiture en kit. Il l’a entièrement restaurée et ce n’est qu’en 2025 qu’il l’a terminée, en la peignant aux couleurs de sa victoire dans sa catégorie à Monte-Carlo.
