Im Jahre 2022 übernahm Frank Höhner diesen Manta 400. Er wurde aufgebaut aus einem Serienhomologationsmodell von der Familie Wolf. Im Hinblick auf die Lackierung ist der Opel dem Fahrzeug nachempfunden das von Guy Frequelin 1985 in der französischen Meisterschaft bewegte.

Der Opel Manta 400 war eine Weiterentwicklung des Ascona 400, der vor allem durch Leichtbau viel Gewicht einsparte. War mit dem Manta 400 in der WM außer einem zweiten Platz bei der Safari gegen die Allradautos nicht viel zu holen, so war er im nationalen Sport sehr begehrt, da er zuverlässig und preiswert war. So gewann der Manta die französische Meisterschaft 1985 mit Guy Fréquelin.

In 2022, Frank Höhner took over this Manta 400, which was built from a road car by the Wolf family. With regard to the paintwork, this Opel represents the car that Guy Frequelin drove in the French championship in 1985.

The Opel Manta 400 was developed from the Ascona 400 with much more usage of Kevlar to reduce the weight to the lowest possible limit. Although the car could not achieve much in the WRC apart from a second in the Safari against the 4WD opposition, but its home was on national levels as it was both reliable and affordable. It won for example the French Championship in 1985 with Guy Fréquelin.

En 2022, Frank Höhner a repris cette Manta 400, construite à partir d’une voiture de route par la famille Wolf. Au niveau de la peinture, cette Opel représente la voiture que Guy Frequelin a pilotée lors du championnat de France en 1985.

La Manta 400 fut en quelques sortes une évolution de l’Ascona 400 avec beaucoup plus de Kevlar, ce qui permit de rendre la voiture aussi légère que possible. Même si la voiture n’atteint jamais un niveau fulgurant en WRC, à l’exception d’une seconde place au Safari, sa fiabilité et son prix abordable la rendirent populaire au sein des championnats nationaux. Pour exemple, elle fut championne de France 85 avec Guy Fréquelin.
