Dies ist ein originaler Renault R5 GT Turbo aus dem französischen Renault 5 GT Turbo Cup der im Rahmen der dortigen Rallyemeisterschaft stattfand. Dann kam das Auto nach Portugal und tauchte Anfang 2000 in den Niederlanden auf, aber in desolatem Zustand und es fehlten jede Menge Teile. Jörg Reiners hat dann zehn Jahre gebraucht, um Originalteile zu suchen und das Auto wieder auf die Beine zu stellen. Als Ragnotti Fan musste es dann natürlich auch ein Ragnotti-Dekor werden.
Gestern: Jean Ragnotti/Pierre Thimonier, Rallye du Var 1988
Jean Ragnotti war seit 1976 und bis zum Ende seiner Karriere Renault Fahrer, hatte aber im Jahre 1988 nur drei Rallyes auf seinem Programm. Eine davon war die zur Europameisterschaft zählende Rallye du Var in Südfrankreich. Renault Sport stellte ihm dort einen R5 GT Turbo in Gruppe N-Version zur Verfügung mit dem er sechster im Gesamt wurde.

This is an original Renault R5 GT Turbo from the French Renault 5 GT Turbo Cup which was part of the rally championship there. Then the car came to Portugal and turned up in the Netherlands in early 2000, but in a desolate condition and missing lots of parts. It then took Jörg Reiners ten years to look for original parts and get the car back on its feet. As a Ragnotti fan, it naturally had to have a Ragnotti décor.
Yesterday: Jean Ragnotti/Pierre Thimonier, Rallye du Var 1988
Jean Ragnotti had been a Renault driver since 1976 and until the end of his career, but only had three rallies on his schedule in 1988. One of these was the Rallye du Var in the south of France, which was part of the European Championship. Renault Sport provided him with an R5 GT Turbo in Group N version, with which he finished sixth overall.

Il s’agit d’une Renault R5 GT Turbo originale, issue de la Renault 5 GT Turbo Cup française qui se déroulait dans le cadre du championnat de rallye de ce pays. Ensuite, la voiture est arrivée au Portugal et est réapparue aux Pays-Bas au début de l’année 2000, mais dans un état désastreux et il manquait beaucoup de pièces. Jörg Reiners a alors mis dix ans à chercher des pièces d’origine et à remettre la voiture sur pied. En tant que fan de Ragnotti, il fallait bien sûr qu’il y ait une décoration Ragnotti.
