Nach seiner aktiven Karriere in den Niederlanden kam dieser Kadett in private Hände und war lange Zeit abgemeldet, ehe ihn Günther Irmscher kaufte. Günther Ressel übernahm ihn im Jahre 2001 und restaurierte ihn aufwendig bis zur letzten Schraube, auch war eine Richtbank von Nöten, um die Karosse wieder gerade zu bekommen.

Dieser Opel Kadett wurde 1977 von der Firma Safety Devices in England aufgebaut und dann als Werkswagen unter dem Kennzeichen GG-CA 848 bei einigen Rallyes vom Opel Euro Händler Team eingesetzt. So auch mit Anders Kulläng bei der Portugal Rallye 1979. Derzeit sind nur noch zwei originale Werks-Kadett existent. Ab 1980 wurde er nach Holland verkauft und dort mit dem Kennzeichen DX58HS von Jan van der Marel für das Opel Team Holland gefahren. Er gewann die Tulpenrallye 1980 und wurde sogar niederländischer Meister. Auch John Vermeeren fuhr ab 1982 diesen Kadett und setzte ihn kräftig vor einen Baum.

After its active career in the Netherlands, this Kadett came into private hands and was deregistered for a long time before Günther Irmscher bought it. Günther Ressel took it over in 2001 and restored it extensively down to the last bolt, and a straightening bench was also necessary to get the body straight again.

This Opel Kadett was built in 1977 by the company Safety Devices in England and then used as a works car under the registration number GG-CA 848 in some rallies by the Opel Euro Dealer Team like with Anders Kulläng in Portugal 1979.
